Survivors often struggle with body image and self esteem. We were stripped of healthy self-thoughts while we were being abused. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but when it comes to our own beauty, we are often blind.
We have undoubtedly been told by someone we are close to that we are beautiful for at least one trait. We have a difficult time believing them, no matter how much we want to believe that there is something beautiful about us.
