Great Loves

Posted by Lisa on January 8, 2007

We struggle with relationships. We struggle with trust issues, interpersonal communication skills, and our ideals of what love is.

What relationship has had the most profound affect on your life?

My relationship with my husband!!!! It is a relationship of kindness and no expectations… He loves me for me and allows me to be me even when I am not in the right mind… He is non-judgemental and so forgiving… I never thought I deserved this life/relationship, but with time and his patience I am realizing this is exactly what I deserve.. Thanks Lisa for allowing me to post..

There are two relationships that come to mind for me. The first is my boyfriend. He allows me to be me even when that me is crazy and forgets that I can trust him. His love is my safe place, my security. I like who I have grown into in that safe place. For the first time in my life I know what it is to be cherished.

The second relationship is with my friend, Kathleen. She is God’s gift to me. She understands me and has walked the same path and overcome the same mountains. In so many ways she is more than a friend, more than a sister, she isw a soulmate.
